Jay Jing Han

April 1, 1926 (May 12, 1925)* - December 23, 2020

Born in South Korea as an only child. He spoke three different languages fluently. (Korean, Japanese, and English). He worked as a traffic controller for a railroad company during the Japanese occupation of Korea. He later worked as an interpreter for American soldiers when they were in Korea during the Korean War and following.

Upon immigrating to the US, he lived in California with his late wife and many relatives. He became the first founding president of the Korean-American Amateur (Ham) Radio Association (KARA). Also enjoyed teaching computer classes after he retired. He is survived by his Son, SeungJin and his wife, daughter, SeungJa, four grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
